I was hesitant to purchase this car seat because the price. I thought that it may be a reflection of the quality-not the case. We had to purchase a total of 4 car seats! since our children were moving out of the infant carriers. But I did a ton of research and when it came down to the nuts an bolts in construction I could find no difference between this seat and ones more expensive. True this one does have less cushion but I don't mind-it's easier to clean! I really like how this one has plenty of space for the rear end(my daughter is very large for her age and hates things too tight. The only downer is the chest buckle- it works fine but I wish that it was more of a button release like the lower one. Overall great seat for the money. Comes apart easy for cleaning and simple to adjust and install/take out of the car.

We ordered this carseat to replace our infant carrier for our 7-month-old daughter. It arrived promptly and in good condition. It was not difficult to install in the car (we didn't need to use a towel for rear-facing as another reviewer did). My husband did need my help in getting the latch hooks fastened as tight as possible; I had to kneel on the seat while he pulled the strap taut. The owners manual is a bit confusing (as other reviewers have noted). We have not had issues with the release button being difficult like some did; I think the main reason we haven't had issues is that our infant carrier had a similar button that I think required even more force to release. It has a good amount of cushion for the longer trips we have to make to see the grandparents. Our daughter has slowly gotten used to this seat as opposed to the carrier, and I think her biggest issue is that if she loses a toy, it's gone until we can stop to give it back to her as she was used to having toys on the carrier handle. The straps do keep her from moving forward to reach something she's dropped - which they're supposed to. The price for this seat was unbeatable, and I'm sure our daughter will like it a whole lot more when we turn it around when she turns a year old. We did purchase some strap covers as some of the reviews of this seat mentioned chafing, so we haven't had any issues like that either. Overall, we're glad we purchased this carseat, and we would recommend it others looking (as long as they're looking for a girl).

I researched this car seat a lot before purchasing. I always take reviews with a grain of salt, but I should have listened more when others said this has no padding. My little guys didn't need a fully padded seat, but this car seat has no padding under the cover at all. They are just sitting on plastic. There is a removable seat pad that goes on over the cover, but it moves around a lot and is a pain. I suggest you spend a little more and get something more comfortable.
