I have the 60G version of this drive
The first died just under warranty, and was eventually replaced by Apricorn. The new one died just OUT of warranty and I was told to go away. No consideration for previous problems, just "too bad".
The clicking noise is a VERY bad sign.
Never again.

I blowed up all the data.
I don't know it was my fault or defect of this product.
But, I lost every Thing, I didn't made a backup.
I was so frustrated.
Built-in cable is worth of money. Very useful.I don't have to carry messy cabels.
The case looks so cheap, compared to WD. but, It is more expensive.

I have several of these drives of various sizes and ages. They are great for taking on the road and backing up my laptop. After a long location shoot I will take one of these and ship it back to my office as a backup. Having the cord attached is a great feature. I also have one of these compact drives in my safety deposit box with my most important archived images and data. I've considered getting the keypad password protected versions, but I think it would just make the TSA more interested in my gear.
