The late Kevyn Aucoin sure made good products. His lipsticks have a beautiful creaminess and rose scent and flattering shades. So, I tried his eyebrow pencil. Nice.
It's one of those you turn to expose more point (ie, no sharpening). And the brunette color is perfect for me (a med-dark skin tone Latina with brown-black hair and almost black eyebrows, NC44 according to the MAC chart, for reference). Some would quibble saying they want a sharper point using a conventional pencill, but I find that this is narrow enough for me to use easily and effectively.
Since hitting middle age with a thyroid condition, my eyebrows got skimpier. So, when I dress up and want to look fully groomed, I use this to fill in the thin spots. Works great. Color is natural looking, and it will work, I believe, with anyone in the brunette-to-black range. The color is not warm, as I've seen described. I'd tag it as a neutral deep (but not blackish) brown.
It's pricey, but it lasts and comes with a brush to groom the brushes.
This is one of my staple beauty products. Love it.
(I know that the Shu Uemura pencil is supposed to be THE eyebrow pencil, but I hate the idea of having to take it to the beauty counter to sharpen. So, this one, no inconvenience.)

This pencil is soft enough to leave a nice line that does not always have to be blended in with the brush. The color is great and the product is wonderful. Since Sephora dropped Kevyn Aucoin I was lucky to find this on Amazon.
